Rhodes Airport with the code RHO is made up of a small terminal with some stores including duty free and a selection of restaurants in both the airside and landside. Being mainly a seasonal airport, Rhodes Airport terminal tends to be frenzied sometimes with long and inept security clearance and check-in processes. There is available free WiFi to help you pass the time. If you are willing to pay, you can also find some comfort thanks to the fee-based access to one of the first class lounges in the airport.

WiFi or Internet: Rhodes Airport offers WiFi for free in all of its area.

Cash machines/ATM: Don’t worry if you need some cash because there are available ATMs at the both the airside and landside of the airport. These machines are under the operation of Euronet, Piraeaus Bank, and Eurobank. Since there might be applicable fees for their use, make sure that you check the fee schedule of your bank as well as your daily limit for withdrawal if you happen to be travelling internationally. It is also recommended that you let your bank know regarding your travel plans.

Currency exchange: Currency change services are available at OneXchange located at the arrivals and landside.

Drinks and food: Food concessions all over the airport operate with different schedules. There are ten options at the airside and four options at the landside.

Luggage carts: There are available luggage carts if you need some help with your luggage. You can find them at the entrance of the Departures Gate or the Arrivals Hall.

Luggage lockers and storage: There are NOT baggage storage and delivery service in the area of the airport but you can find this kind of services right after the airport on your way to Kremasti.

Luggage wrapping: There are also luggage wrapping services available at Rhodes Airport.

Medical services: The airport’s medical center offers medical services.

Mobile charging: You can find some working outlets on the pillars close to the landside doors in the two terminals. Some can also be found in the seating area.

Pharmacy: The Pharmacy is located in the free area at Departures in Gate 3.

Shopping and Duty  Free: Hellenic Duty Free can be found at the Airport.  The landside of the airport also has a Press Gate convenience store, a souvenir shop, a sunglass shop, and an electronics shop.

Car parking Services: You can find it right opposite of the main building and offers up to 230 parking positions. The service is available 24/7.

Public buses running everyday between Rhodes City Center and Rhodes Airport and their departures are very frequent, which is every 30 minutes. For your best update visit DES-RODA site.

If your destination is situated in the south of the island, it will necessitate a transfer of bus routes within Rhodes town. The extensive bus routes are operated by KTEL RODOU, located at 17 Megalou Konstantinou, situated approximately 1.5 kilometers or a 20-minute walk away.

Taxis are available at the airport 24 hours daily. It will take you about approximately 25 minutes to get to the city center with an estimated fare of 27.00€. In general, you ‘ll be charged 0,65€ (day-time) or 1,30€ (night-time) per km if you hail a taxi on the streets. If you take one from a taxi rank you will pay a set rate depending on your destination. There are also several companies which you can pre-book a private car hire with driver. The driver is going to wait you at the arrival and he will take you to your hotel without any delays. 

If you don’t really find it appealing to sleep in Rhodes Airport, you can always go to the nearby hotels from the airport. Some of the options you can find include the following:

  • Rhodian Sun Hotel – Only 8 minutes away from the airport, you can also request to ride the free airport transfer.  
  • Nama Retreat – It will take you 10 minutes to get to these boutique suits from Rhodes Airport but no airport shuttle is available. Riding a taxi to the hotel may cost you approximately 15€ each way.
  • Vallian Village – Just 5 minutes away from Rhodes Airport, you can directly arrange airport transfers through this hotel.
