The Trip

The boat trip to Symi island starts with bus transfer from your hotel to the tourist port. Boat departs at 09:00 the morning and arrives at 11:00. Upon you are in Simi you can choose to follow Sea Dream s tour guide who will take you on a short walk around the alleys of Symi’s Capital and introduce you to the tradition of sponge processing. There is ample time for lunch and shopping before the return to Rhodes.. At 14:30 you will depart from Simi s port to the south side of Simi where is the historic monastery of Panormitis . Final boat departure to Rhodes is at 16:30. Return transfer by bus to your hotels.

1st stopSymi village

Symi is one of the smallest islands of the Dodecanese region and located northern from Rhodes island. It s an ideal destination for those looking for tranquility and seclusion. Symi owes almost all its beauty to its long naval history. You will have the opportunity to admire outstanding two or three storey houses with symmetrical doors or windows. These massive colourful mansions used to belong to wealthy mechants and captains, who brought the artistic styles of the west because of their professional activities.

2nd stopPanormitis

The monastery of Archangel Michael Panormitis is one of the most important pilgrimage centers in Greece. Even if you are not a religious believer, it’s worth visiting this unique monument. The monastery was constructed in 1783, while its impressive bell tower was built in a baroque style in the early 20th century. Inside the monastery, you can visit the museum and the miraculous image of the Archangel Michael.
